II · Requirements

Submission guidelines

We accept original research, review articles, and meta-analyses. Manuscripts must follow the formatting below.

Length
Maximum 20 pages, single-spaced, not including citations.
Type
Times New Roman, 12 pt body, 1.15 line spacing.
Citation Style
Chicago / Turabian.
Sections
Title, abstract (150 to 250 words), 5 to 8 keywords, body, funding sources, conflicts of interest, acknowledgements, works cited.

III · The Process

From submission to publication

i.

Initial Check & Review

Our editorial team confirms your submission meets formatting and scope requirements. Off-topic or formatting-noncompliant papers are returned at this stage with feedback.

ii.

Reviewer Feedback

One member of the editorial board reads the paper in full and returns the edits you’ll need to address before acceptance, whether formatting or substance. Each editor holds a graduate degree (MBA or M.S.) from an Ivy+ institution.

iii.

Acceptance and Publication

Once you’ve incorporated reviewer feedback and the paper is accepted, you’ll receive an invoice for the publication fee. After payment, the paper is published with its own original, permanent SJBE DOI.
